POSITION: Full-time Lands Administrative Assistant
LOCATION: K’ómoks Administration Building
DEPARTMENT: Lands Department
REPORTS TO: Lands Manager
SALARY RANGE: $24 to $28 hourly rate (based on 35 hours a week)

Are you passionate about making a difference and supporting community initiatives? We’re looking for a dynamic Lands Administrative Assistant to become a vital part of the K’ómoks First Nation Lands Department. This role is your opportunity to shine as an organizational whiz and community advocate!
What you’ll do:
- Be the organizational backbone, providing essential support to our team.
- Capture the essence of our meetings and events by taking precise minutes.
- Keep our filing systems seamless and up to date.
- Coordinate travel plans and ensure a smooth journey for our staff.
- Jump into action with basic IT troubleshooting to keep things running smoothly.
- Be the go-to for setting up engaging community events and ensuring they’re unforgettable.
- Dive into diverse projects as a team player, where your input truly matters.
What you bring:
- A flair for collaboration and a knack for working with diverse groups.
- Strong time management skills to keep everything on track.
- A pulse on cultural sensitivity and First Nations governance.
- Tech-savvy skills with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- A class 5 driver’s license, ready for any adventure.

Education and experience
- Diploma or certificate in office administration or related field preferred, however mentoring opportunities available for the right candidate
- Class 5 divers’ license
- 1-2 years’ experience working in an office setting, preferably in a First Nations environment.
- Experience working in and with the Indigenous community preferred.

- Willing to participate in personal and professional development.
