KFN Youth Canoe Paddle
Indigenous Education and K’ómoks First Nation would like to invite you and your child to a special day at Comox Lake, where K’ómoks First Nation students will be the first to paddle these canoes. This event is a celebration of culture, community, and land-based learning.
Date: Monday, May 26
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Location: Comox Lake
Students will be transported by school bus from their schools.
Lunch will be provided
The day will include a discussion about the history of the canoes and their Pentlatch names, paddling on the lake, and activities/games for students who choose not to canoe. Please dress your child in layers and bring a hat and water bottle to be prepared for any weather.
